we had a "test run" on the runway yesterday. I got up to 230 before running out of space. turbo's should reach around 245ish, a gt2 maybe a bit more. We really need an extra 1000m to make sure of it though.

I agree. It doesnt matter tat it's a watercooled engine. This is a 911 in the true spirit of what Porsche orignally intended. Great car....
yeah..actually I am a member of the PCWA (porsche club of western australia http://www.porscheclubwa.org.au/ ) . We are staging a Porsche V Max event next year on a runway in country WA. Hope to hit 230kph speeds! Yee haa!

That looks fantastic. Five stars from me. The 997 is a great 911 IMHO. It's modern but still retains those classic lines. Any more pictures to share?
yeah truckloads. this is a standar carrera 2 with no trick dampers or sports chrono. It is as close to the original 911 concept you can get in water cooled.
