Fantastic.  Sounds great after 30 years of laying dormant.  A great testiment to the Porsche engineers that built it. Did you put it onto a rolling road to see how many horses had escaped?

I agree. This is a truely fantastic venture. The 917 is such an icon in Motorsport. It was totally unstopable in its day! Thanks for sharing.

I have to say what amazing project. I have really enjoyed watching both parts of thhis video getting the 917 engine started. Given it was so long since it was last run, it was relatively easy to get it running again. Great stuff and five stars from me.
