December 2013

It's December already. Christmas is just around the corner and we're heading towards the end of another year. For some us it might be cold, but there are plenty of great driving day's left to enjoy your Porsche. And, if the weather isn't on your side, you can always browse away the hours here on Channel P101tv!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all from Channel P101tv.

This month's "Porsche on the Cover" is Donnyzart's Red 3.2 Carrera. Head over and take a look at Donny's Precious, as well as his fabulous Porsche artworks.

Restoring a Flatnose 911

P101tv member Vaughn has set to work restoring his 1976 3.0 Carrera Targa Flatnose. It's had a new coat of paint and in the middle of re-assembly. You don't see a flatnose every day so it's worth taking a look at what Vaughn's been up to.

Donington Trackday

Longman has once again taken to the track in his Porsche 3.2 Carrera. This time he's at Donington in the UK. Getting the most out of your Porsche requires a visit to the race track. If you haven't been on track yourself, take a look at Longman and see if you might like to do the same.

How to Crash Safely

It's always your worst nightmare. Your out enjoying your Porsche and you have a crash. Not the best of scenarios, but looking at a set of pictures uploaded by Izzy, you can get out safely even after the most horrendous of crashes. The driver of this Porsche was certainly shaken by events, but he escaped unharmed! Just goes to show a Porsche, with roll bars, is a safe place to be.

Does the Porsche 965 Really Exist

We've all heard of the Porsche 965. It's a Porsche 964-model Turbo. Or is it? This is a tricky one. Technically refering to a Porsche 964 Turbo as a Porsche 965 is incorrect. This type number was given to a high tech prototype project that shared much with the famous Porsche 959 supercar, and could have finally been badged the 969.

Porsche "N" Rated Tyres

Tyres play a major role in the handling characteristics of any car. They effect cornering speeds, acceleration and braking, fuel economy, noise, wet grip, dry grip, hydroplaning and topspeeds to name a few. Quite often the design criteria for each of these needs are at odds with each other, and tyre designers have a complex balancing act on their hands to produce a tyre that meets all the needs of the car.

Nice Collection

It's a question petrol heads have been asking themselves since hydrocarbons first started powering cars. If you had to have a collection of three Porsches what would they be. Well, finally our prayers have been answered by channel P101tv member Tennster who has uploaded a video of his three porsche collection.

Channel P101tv Window Stickers

Don't forget you can now get a Channel P101tv window sticker for your Porsche. We've seen a few Porsches wearing the Channel P101tv sticker at a few events this year. We'd just like to say a big Thank you! We think the stickers are a great addition to any Porsche and a great way to show your support for Channel P101tv.
