February 2013

February has arrived and for many an improvement in the weather has provided an opportunity to dust of their Porsches and get them out for an airing. P101tv continues to grow a pace with many new Porsche owners joining the 101Community. As always there's plenty of new video and picture uploads to keep you busy as well as new Porsche articles over in the Folio section. The Fuchs database is proving to be useful and the Porsche Quiz continues to test everyone's knowledge of Porsche.

This month's "Porsche on the Cover" is John Murray's fabulous Porsche 944. Head over and take at look at his 944

Porsche 911SC as Good as the Day it was Born!

The classic impact bumper Porsche 911's have long been the image we've come to associate with Porsche greatness and if your lucky enough to own one, then we're sure you lavish her with the care she deserves. New Channel P101tv member ex968bloke has a real gem of a 911SC. A beautiful example in stunning 'as new' condition and hardly any miles, his 911SC is a beauty to behold.

Fuchs Decoder

We have created a database of the various Porsche Fuchs wheels, including part numbers, offsets, sizes, and original finish etc. It has proved incredibly popular and the database gets used everyday by members wanting to know more about the classic Fuchs wheels. If you are trying to establish which Fuchs wheels you have then the Channel P101tv Fuchs decoder should be able to help.

Ditster666's Porsche 911E Restoration

Ditster666 has been quietly working away to restore his Bahama yellow 1969 Porsche 911E. His quality of restoration work and attention to detail has resulted in a beautiful example of this early 911. Nearly of the work has been done by Ditster himself and should be applauded. He has uploaded some great videos and pictures of his work. If you haven't spotted Ditsers666's 911 on your travels around P101tv, then take a few minutes to pay a visit to his Channel.

Porsche N Rated Tyres

Tyres play a major role in the handling characteristics of any car. They effect cornering speeds, acceleration and braking, fuel economy, noise, wet grip, dry grip, hydroplaning and top speeds to name a few. Quite often the design criteria for each of these needs are at odds with each other, and tyre designers have a complex balancing act on their hands to produce a tyre that meets all the needs of the car.

Smarten up your 911 Luggage Compartment

If all that 'winter weather' stopped you enjoying your Porsche, then why not head out to the garage for some DIY improvements. Channel P101tv member Andy Miles decided he'd breath some life into the otherwise boring cardboard heater blower cover on his 911SC. Everyone likes a bit of bling, so put your shades on and take a look at Andy's handy work.

Porsches in Action

We were invited along to the last track day of 2012 at the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent in the UK. A few guys and their Porsches spent the cold December day warming up their Porsches on track. It was a great day with some great people and their Porsches.
