This month has seen a frenzy of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 911. There are many more new members who have joined the P101tv fraternity and as always many more great Porsche videos and pictures for your viewing pleasure. There are more articles and guides over in the folio which as of last month you can now add your own comments. As the website's video and picture collection grows so does our storage requirements. With this in mind with added more storage capacity so we can continue to grow the website. We've also increased the video file size limit so you can upload bigger and better videos.
This month's "Porsche on the Cover" is Mashmotor's beautifully restored Porsche 356. Head over and take a look at his Porsche 356 and other great restoration projects now.
P101tv member Donnyzart has been out and about in his newly acquired Porsche 996 Turbo. With a camera planted on the roof you can see Donny and friends driving through Yarnell Hill, Arizona. We think the roads look fantastic and reason enough to move to the USA! Nice work Donny.
If your planning to modify your Porsche for performance or how it looks then it's best to ensure that all the new parts provide a weight saving opportunity to maximise speed and handling potential. In fact many Porsche modifiers inadvertently often add in extra weight when modifying, this is especially evident when larger intercoolers, spoilers, wheels and in-car entertainment components are fitted.
Channel P101tv member Longman took his beautiful Porsche 3.2 Carrera along to Oulton park for the Porsche RS trackday evening. Aside from having a great time driving on track with the other Porsches, Longman gets a bit overactive on the the throttle and then subsequently the steering wheel as he attempts to calm his tail happy 911 down. He calls the video Jazz Hands!
P101tv member Izzy uploaded a great little video of Le Mans Classic from 2012. It's a great little video and well worth a watch. It really does capture the essense of the event as well as all those enthusiasts who attend every year. Head over a take a look for yourself.
The name Porsche is known the world over. It is one of the most famous sports car manufacturers in the world. However, many of us pronounce Porsche incorrectly.
Video camera technology develops in leaps and bounds and video quality is massivly improved. As a result video file sizes are on the increase. We've had many emails asking for the 800mb video size limit to be increase to cope with these better quality videos. We thought this was a great idea, so we've increased the video size limit for each upload by 400mb to a new 1.2gb limit. You can still upload as many videos as you like, but now each one can be upto 1.2gb! We look forward to seeing your new high quality videos.
Don't forget you can now get a Channel P101tv window sticker for your Porsche. We've seen a few Porsches wearing the Channel P101tv sticker at a few events this year. We'd just like to say a big Thank you! We think the stickers are a great addition to any Porsche and a great way to show your support for Channel P101tv.
